Rainy Days and School Days

Jom started Nursery in the neighborhood preschool last June. So what's the knitting needles and a box of hunter green 4-ply yarn got to do with it? If one has to spend two hours inside the nursery classroom because a little boy would not go inside it with out his mom, then she has got to do what she's got to do- entertain herself while the babies learn new songs and get along with an entire new environment.
I had been knitting since I was in college (a legacy of an almost spinster landlady- almost because last time I heard she married the ex-boyfriend of my boardmate... :-) ) but learning surgery took over for a while. During the whole three weeks I attended Nursery school (we started with Kindergarten then when I was young), I was able to finish a long overdue teddybear crossstitch design which I started when I was pregnant with Jus nine years ago, continued a sunflower design for at least several strands and started a new knitting project- a hunter green afghan. I was on my 18th inch length and 13th ball of yarn when I decided I did not want to attend Nursery classes again, so now it's another WIP (see previous post). I hope I get to finish it before Jom goes to college.
And guess what, the little boy did not even notice I dropped out of school already.
